Getting started can be a daunting task; there is a variety of fly fishing equipment, some needed and some luxury. Just choosing a rod and line can be a confusing decision with the amount of choices available.

Many believe fly fishing to be a "rich man's" hobby, but really, you can get started with everything you need for less than $100. You will find, however, as with most hobbies...once you get started, there always seems to be some new piece of equipment that you are going to want.
